Music can completely change the atmosphere of your wedding. From the first notes as you walk down the aisle to drinks with your guests, live music can make even the smallest moments feel special.
If you are considering live music for your wedding, here are a few things worth knowing.
Wedding musicians are often booked months in advance, especially during the summer season. We recommend getting in touch 6–12 months before your wedding if possible. This gives you plenty of time to discuss your programme, choose your favourite songs and prepare any special requests. However, you might still get lucky with a shorter notice! If your date is approaching and you haven't booked your musicians yet, don't hesitate to get in touch — availability can sometimes change, and we may still be able to be part of your special day.
Live music can be part of many different moments:
You don't need music throughout the entire day. Even one carefully chosen moment can create a lasting memory.
Of course! Your wedding music should feel personal. If you have a favourite song or a piece that has a special meaning for you, ask your musicians if they can play it.
Special arrangements may require some preparation, so it is best to discuss your requests in advance.
Make sure you know whether there is a piano or keyboard available at the venue, and whether you will be playing indoors or outdoors. If there is no piano or keyboard available, we can bring our own instrument and speaker, so you don't have to worry about the equipment.
For outdoor weddings, weather protection is particularly important.
Before booking, it is useful to ask:
A little planning beforehand means less to worry about on the wedding day.
Don't worry too much about what you are supposed to have. Choose music that means something to you and reflects your relationship.
The most memorable wedding music is often not the most complicated — it is the music that makes you feel something.
